Sheryl-Underwood
Sheryl Underwood is an American television host, comedian and actress famous for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas She was raised within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a family who has suffered from a range of issues. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her sick sister Frankie. While growing up, she suffered an uneasy relationship to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl stated that at one point her mother had stabbed her son's father for being too close to the father. After her graduation from college, Sheryl was a soldier in the military. Her love for comedy was much more prominent. In 1989 she was the first woman in history to reach the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV career started in 1992 as a performer for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she was an host on the T.V. program Oh Drama! She's been host on The Talk since 2011. She has also appeared in a variety of fictional characters on series such as Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
